We are wise to invest a lot of time helping others. This really is our whole purpose in life — to put others before ourselves. All of us hve it in our grasp to make a better day for someone else. The act of kindness could be something as simple as just talking to someone else. It is as simple as just sharing our time and getting to know the person we are helping. We were never meant to live alone in the world.

There are great benefits to be realized by the community, the person you are helping, and yourself when you give.

And lastly, remember that everyone has different tastes, likes, and dislikes. Some like football while others like baseball. Some like fast food while others like to dine in only the finest restaurants. Some like to work behind the scenes while others like the prominent positions. Some are workaholics while others are slothful. The point here is don’t spend a lot of money on resources trying to pleasure someone with something they do not want. Spend it by giving of yourself. It’s more valuable than material things.

You’ve just eaten a big meal and leaned back in your favorite chair to watch your favorite TV program. As you begin to relax, your chest starts to hurt so much it feels like it’s on fire. You may be experiencing heartburn. According to studies, about 30% of adults experience occasional heartburn, while 10% experience heartburn almost every single every day. Heartburn usually follows after a heavy meal. To understand how this condition comes about, it is best to be aware of what exactly happens when we eat food. The food that is swallowed travels from the mouth to the stomach through a hollow tube called the esophagus. Before food enters the stomach, it must pass through a tight muscle at the lower part of the esophagus called the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES). The lower esophageal sphincter prevents food from traveling backward into the esophagus. Once in the stomach, stomach acid slowly digests the food. This acid is very strong and can damage most parts of the body. Fortunately, the stomach is protected from its own acid by a special mucous layer. The esophagus, however, does not have any such special protection. If the lower esophageal sphincter does not close completely, the lower part of the esophagus can be damaged by stomach acid. When this happens, heartburn is experienced.

Heartburn can last for several hours and is often worse after eating, or when lying down, or when a person who just ate suddenly bends over. Heartburn is the most common symptom of reflux. Reflux occurs when acid in the stomach, which is there to help digest food, rises up into the esophagus, causing pain, irritation, and discomfort.

Some other factors that can make heartburn worse include certain foods such as fatty and spicy foods, chocolate, caffeine, onions, tomato sauce, carbonated beverages and mint. Alcohol, large meals, lying too soon after eating, cigarette smoking, sedatives, calcium channel blockers and antidepressant medications can also trigger heartburn.

Heartburn, also called acid indigestion, is the most common symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD); a disease in which stomach acid or, occasionally, bile flows back (refluxes) into the esophagus. Heartburn usually feels like a burning chest pain beginning behind the breastbone and moving upward to the neck and throat. Many people say it feels like food is coming back into the mouth leaving an acid or bitter taste.

Most heartburn problems are mild, but if a person experiences frequent discomfort, there may already be some complications that need medical treatment or the use of prescription medications. If a person encounters heartburn several times a week, or if it returns soon after the effects of antacids wear off, medical attention may be necessary. So, what do we do? Lay back with a box of tissue, pop a couple of cold tabs and wait it out? Not necessarily! Doctors who specialize in self-care medicine say that there is a lot more that we can do to get through a cold comfortably, and possibly more quickly! Here is some of the best advice that experts have to offer on the subject.

Vitamin C – "Vitamin C works in the body as a scavenger, picking up all sorts of trash – including virus trash," Says Keith W. Sehnert, M.D., a physician with Trinity Health Care in Minneapolis, Minnesota. "It can shorten the length of a cold from seven days to maybe two or three."
Studies conducted at the University of Wisconsin found that cold sufferers taking 500 milligrams of vitamin C four times a day suffered from about half as many symptoms (coughing, sneezing. etc) as those not taking the vitamin.

Liquids – Drink six to eight glasses of water, juice, tea, and other mostly clear liquids daily to keep the body hydrated and to flush out impurities.
NO Smoking! – Smoking aggravates the throat and interferes with the infection-fighting activity of the cilia, the microscopic "fingers" that sweep bacteria out of your lungs and throat. Even if you don’t quit for good, at least stop for the duration of your cold.
Salty Gargle – Dr. Van Ert of San Francisco advises mixing 1 teaspoon of salt into a glass of warm water and gargling away whenever your throat hurts.
Hot Toddy – Get a good night’s sleep and clear a stuffed-up nose by sipping a "hot toddy" or a half a glass of wine before bedtime, suggests Dr. Caughron, a family practitioner specializing in preventive medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. But don’t go overboard! More alcohol than that can stress out your system and make recovery more difficult.
Get Steamed – Clear congestion and relieve a dry cough by taking a hot steamy shower. Or make a steam tent by draping a towel over your head above a bowl of boiling water.
Keep Your Germs to Yourself – Cough and blow away, but do it into a disposable tissue instead of sharing them! Then promptly throw the tissue away and wash your hands.
Medicate – If you decide to take over the counter medication, follow the instructions carefully and only take medication that addresses the symptoms that you are suffering from.

MRSA or Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus is one among a number of organisms that have been found to be resistant to commonly used antibiotics. It is classified as a staph bacteria that triggers infections that could worsen into a life-threatening condition. Methicillin was an antibiotic used many years ago to treat patients with Staphylococcus Aureus infections. However, today, it is no longer used except as a means of identifying this particular type of antibiotic resistance.
Experts say that the MRSA superbug can cause pneumonia and serious bone and skin infections. It had already claimed the lives of infected children who did not receive adequate medication and health care. It also been reported that MRSA can rapidly multiply and infect people in close physical contact with other people. People who are frequently in crowded places like day care centers, prison cells, and other cramped areas are at high risk for infections.
An individual could become a carrier of MRSA in the same way that they can become a carrier of ordinary Staphylococcus aureus. Infection is spread through physical contact with an infection person. If the infectious organism is on the skin, then it can also be passed around via skin-to-skin contact. If the organism is in the nose or has infected the lungs, it may be spread via droplets spread from the mouth and nose during sneezing or contact with an infected person’s saliva. Resistance of infectious organisms can be tested through the use clinical implements and chemicals. This test is usually done over a period of two to three days to determine the level of resistance of an organism to antibiotics.

However, though it seems like these superbugs are extremely powerful, if a patient is given multiple antibiotics, they can be fought off. One of the lifesaving drugs that is said to combat MRSA is vancomycin. Vancomycin has been reserved by hospitals as the drug of last resort. Experts said that this medicine may cause some serious side effects, including damage to your hearing and kidneys. Though vancomycin has its own side effects, it can at least fight those superbugs away.

Verdict: Burn The Fat is an amazing resource. It has virtually no complaints, other than being too big, and perhaps not having enough material on lifting weights. Really doesn’t matter if your goal is to lose weight, tone your body, or become Mr. Universe! Its good for anybody.

Some say that the more you are exposed to something, the more likely you are to pick it up. The same has been anecdotally proven to be true for mental health conditions and outright insanity. Drywall the most commonly used interior wall covering throughout the world for several reasons. First and probably foremost is that it is cheap. It is simply gypsum which is a ubiquitous and easily obtained substance sandwiched between two sheets of heavy paper which gives the drywall stability. The material is easy to work with and therefore very useful across a wide range of applications. It also provides a nice finished surface that is very paintable and also repairable.

Another reason why drywall is used is that it provides a barrier to the movement of fire through a house or building. Its endothermic properties allow it to at least slow a fires progression and are given to it by the water that is contained within it. This water must be heated and evaporated before the fire is able to raise the temperature of drywall to its kindling point and also affect the temperature of the next room over. One must keep in mind that it is only a barrier and that in order to prevent the fire from moving quickly from one room to the next you have to block off all other routes. Therefore any vents must be properly insulated, any other holes must be sealed tight by either plaster or some other fire retardant.

Drywall comes in 4 x 8 foot sheets and is quickly hung by drywall hangers. This is the process of attaching the drywall to the bare stud of all inside wall surfaces as well as the ceilings. Holes are cut for all receptacles and windows and doors. The mudders then come and tape all of the seams and mud them. This is then sanded down and provides the smooth surface that we are all used to in a new or newly renovated home.
